Amy Hannah Johnston: Amy Hannah Johnston, a retired Brigadier General, served the U.S. Army for over 30 years, dedicating her career to leadership and service. Born in Edina, MN, and raised in Findlay, OH, she carried hard work and community values from her early years into her military career. Johnston held key positions in Seoul, Korea, and Mons, Belgium, including roles at the United Nations Command and NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe. She serves on the Advisory Council for the Center for Information, Democracy, and Citizenship at the American University in Bulgaria. After her husband, Major General Gary W. Johnston, passed, Amy established the Gary Johnston Leadership Award at Arkansas Tech University in his honor. In retirement, she remains active in community service, environmental efforts, and supporting military families with her therapy dog, Duke. Her legacy inspires future leaders and contributes to global democracy and local initiatives.
